MaryClare + Andrew | Union Station

So.many.things to love about MaryClare & Andrew's wedding. Some times there are words that can perfectly capture a moment or a day, and then there are days like theirs, where words could never do it justice. I'll start by just telling you up front, you truly had to be there to experience how amazing this one was.

I loved the mother of the bride's dedication to making sure every detail was perfectly in place. I loved Andrew's laid back personality but willingness to speak up and make decisions. I loved MaryClare's love for princesses and traditional touches. So often it's so easy to get caught up in the Nashville vibe when you're inviting guests to "the south" but MaryClare and Andrew pulled off the most perfect timeless, southern wedding I have ever been a part of.

Guests were witness to a beautiful afternoon ceremony at Saint Henry Catholic Church just outside of the city before being picked up for a ride through the city to the reception at Union Station right in the heart of downtown Nashville.

While at cocktail hour on the veranda, guests were treated to extravagant food stations, including ice sculptures, all to the sounds of Goat Hill String Band! After cocktail hour, guests moved into the Grand Ballroom where they were greeted with lavish florals, soaring ceilings, a beautiful chandelier and detailed place settings.

We ended the night in the Azalean Ballroom where guests rocked out to The Downtown Band before MaryClare and Andrew took off in their vintage getaway car. It’s an amazing thing when a wedding is filled with love, good food, and friends + family but it makes it all the better when you’re surrounded by the work of some of Nashville’s most amazing vendors! Cheers, MaryClare + Andrew!

Shap + Chris | Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

Shap and Chris' March wedding had so many fun details, it's near impossible to choose just one as my favorite! Persian flare with a touch of Nashville, on St. Patrick's Day, at the beautiful Cheekwood Estate & Gardens. So much goodness packed into one really fun day!

Shap was so incredibly thoughtful with every detail of their wedding day. Bridesmaids spent an afternoon together getting beautiful Henna designs on their hands, guests received seed packets with 4-leaf clovers on them, the groomsmen rocked super cool socks and converses (my favorite!), the bridal party danced to traditional Persian wedding dances, and the florals were packed full of thoughtfully planned flowers as a nod to Shap's heritage. When couples are this intentional with their details, it's the perfect recipe for a memorable day for their guests.

Laura + Austin | Green Door Gourmet

Laura and Austin wanted a wedding that was warm, welcoming and perfectly them. We combined fall colors (bring on the deeps reds!) with a fresh timeless look (cue the white flowers!) - and it was magical!

Throughout most of the planning process Laura was living in South Carolina while Austin was living and working in Nashville. Nashville is such a popular wedding destination and so many of ANE's clients plan from out of state so this living situation was easy-breezy! We fit meetings in while Laura was in town visiting and Facetime-d and Skyped in between, all while Laura was selling her home and making the move to Nashville. Don't let planning from out of state overwhelm you, it's kind of become our "thing"!

Amanda + Matt | The Cordelle

Amanda and Matt are so super cool. Their whole vibe is so fun and so exciting and then Amanda had to go and say "navy velvet" during our consultation. Sold! Matt is a musician and Amanda is from Hawaii - wins across the board when we're talking about design. Amanda wanted their wedding to be one big fun party for their guests and I think we nailed it.

The weather wasn't quite cooperating on their wedding day so we threw down a beautiful blanket right in the middle of The Cordelle and surrounded them with their family and friends.

But these photographs don't need captions. These details, colors and textures definitely speak for themselves.

If you saw my post about Ally + Ryan, you know I love the idea of each table having their own desserts. Amanda didn't want her guests to have to wait for dinner before having dessert (who doesn't love the chance to eat dessert first?) so guests entered the reception to tables full of assorted desserts so they could snack on sweets before dinner.

Cheers, Amanda + Matt!

Audrey + Eric | Green Door Gourmet

Audrey was the best kind of bride - she knew exactly what she wanted, but she was totally open to suggestions for polishing up her vision. Eric was the best kind of groom - he knew what he wanted on the menu and he completely supported Audrey's ideas and vision for their wedding day. I loved helping Audrey blend Nashville with New Orleans to bring both her and Eric's lives together in one room. I especially loved that they planned every detail with their guests in mind, from the Cajun inspired menu, to the welcome bags, and all the details in between.

Darby Cards knows the way to my heart and seriously knows her way around paper goods. Audrey asked for traditional wording with a modern texture and that beautiful combination is exactly what Darby gave her.

It's no secret that Green Door Gourmet is one of my absolute favorites in Nashville. Every little well thought out piece makes the day a dream for couples who love the outdoor vibes, locally grown flowers and beautiful scenery. Added bonus: portraits in a greenhouse!

And then there's the oh-so-talented Christie (The Farmer's Florist). Audrey and Eric really live by doing things as natural and as locally grown as possible so having their friends and family at Green Door, in a room filled with locally grown flowers and food was just perfect.

We put a lot of thought into the color and texture combinations that guests would be greeted with at each table. Audrey (and her neutral loving heart) wanted the room to feel elegant but not stuffy so we used a collection of beautiful gold items from Southern Events paired with tables named after important cities from throughout their relationship. But don't let the beautiful gold place settings fool you, guests enjoyed a wide variety of Cajun and southern comfort food including a biscuit bar from Chef and I.

Cheers to a lifetime of laughs, good food and kisses, Audrey & Eric!

Ally + Ryan | Belle Meade Plantation

Ally & Ryan are the type of couple that you want at your party! They're fun, laid back but energetic, and completely and totally head-over-heels in love. I spent all of 2017 looking forward to their visits to Nashville (from Virginia) and our meetings at Belle Meade. They showed up the week of the wedding with not one, but two car loads filled to the brim with all of Ally's handiwork. Her creativity made their wedding day perfectly them and made me remember what a dream my job is.

There is nothing more southern and classic than Belle Meade Plantation. But this couple was far from stuffy so we brought the fun to Belle Meade on a perfectly mild August evening

That's not one, not two, not three but 7 perfectly custom suits. The grooms suit was custom made for a perfect fit from Alton Lane (Guys: If you're looking for a completely awesome suit experience, that includes Bourbon and a secret entrance, the team at Alton Lane has you covered.)

Special shout out to One10 Beauty (hair and makeup) for nailing it every.single.time.

Stella Rose perfectly captured Ally's love for natural and effortless florals from the bouquets to the beautiful table arrangements.

Cake is most guests favorite part - Ally and Ryan had the perfect way to take their guests cake experience up a notch. We placed a different flavored bundt cake (Nothing Bundt Cakes) on each guest table. At the conclusion of toasts, Ally & Ryan asked guests to get up and move around the room sampling flavors and meeting new friends. With guests from literally every corner of the country, it was great way to break to the ice and get the party started before hitting the dance floor.

I am so grateful for clients turned friends and I am so looking forward to watching Ally and Ryan's family grow in the years to come.

Cheers, Ally + Ryan!
